About Play Wise Therapy
There's real courage in reaching out
I started Play Wise Therapy because I believe everyone — child or adult — deserves a space where they feel genuinely heard, without judgement and without pressure.
About Beth
20 years of experience, and still as passionate as ever
Before training as a therapist, I spent over 20 years working as a Registered Mental Health Nurse — in acute settings, with adults, children, and young people, across some really challenging environments. That clinical background shapes everything I do. It means I'm not easily fazed, and I understand that people come to therapy carrying all kinds of complexity.
I trained in play therapy and integrative counselling because I wanted to work in a way that truly follows the person — not a rigid model. I've since completed specialist training in neurodiversity, eating disorders, and life transitions, so whatever you're navigating, I'm likely to have worked with something similar before.
Alongside my client work, I also offer creative arts supervision to therapists, counsellors, and teachers. It's something I care deeply about — supporting the people who support others.
I work with clients in person and online, including British and international expats living in Spain.
